1. Perform procedures necessary to safely admit, transfer and/or discharge a client
2. Provide and receive handoff of care (report) on assigned clients
3. Delegate and supervise care of client provided by others (e.g., LPN/VN, assistive personnel, other RNs)
4. Advocate for client rights and needs
5. Prioritize the delivery of client care based on acuity
6. Participate in performance improvement projects and quality improvement processes
